This week’s Drag Race Global All Stars results shocked and confused fans.
Spoilers ahead
Following the departure of Eva La Queen, the nine remaining queens – Alyssa Edwards, Gala Varo, Kitty Scott-Claus, Kween Kong, Nehellenia, Pythia, Soa de Muse, Tessa Testicle and Vanity Vain – returned to the werkroom.
Gala – who lip synced against Eva – opened up about the elimination, revealing that it was a bittersweet situation.
“I feel happy. It’s sad to send Eva home, but I didn’t want to go home,” the Drag Race Mexico star said.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Vanity expressed her shock to the other queens that she wasn’t selected to lip sync.
“I actually thought I was going to lip sync. And you know when you get into this toxic place in your head. When you’re in that spot, it’s hard to even think,” she explained.
The next day, the celebration continued for Gala and last week’s maxi-challenge winner, Kween.
“Oh my god, look, I’ve got about $16,00 in prize money. Come on, you can’t get any better than this,” Kween exclaimed in a confessional.
As Gala expressed her delight in winning the lip sync, the ladies were interrupted by a fabulous piece of RuMail before Ru herself entered the workroom.
“Now, for today’s mini-challenge, you need to join the Mile Highlighter Club as you apply your makeup mid-air. Now, when we touch down, the queen whose mug serves the most sickening air sickness wins,” Ru explained.
After enduring a hilarious simulation of airplane turbulence – courtesy of the handsome Pit Crew – Tessa was named the winner and recipient of $2,500.
The ladies – refreshed and quick drag free – then returned to Ru who asked them to pair up with the queen they wanted to have a drink with the most.
The teams were as follows: Soa and Vanity, Alyssa and Tessa, Kween and Gala, with Nehellenia, Pythia and Kitty making up the last team.
With their drinking teams selected, Ru then revealed the episode’s maxi-challenge.
“Now, queens, before coming to Global All Stars you were instructed to pack a suitcase with raw materials to construct a dress that’s ready for the runway,” Ru explained.
“Now, for this week’s maxi-challenge, each of you needs to make your own cocktail dress.”
However, Ru threw the queens for a loop in true Drag Race fashion when she revealed that they wouldn’t be using the materials they brought. Instead, they would be using their partners.
With their items in hand, the contestants headed to their respective workstations to get started on their designs.
While the majority of the pairs navigated the trade smoothly, Nehellina and Alyssa were less than impressed with their new fabrics.
Elsewhere in the workroom, Soa opened up to Vanity about feeling more confident about the sewing challenge.
“I think for this sewing challenge, I think I don’t need to be afraid. And come on, Alyssa doesn’t know how to sew. Tessa is questionable. I just hear Nehelle crying and I see Kitty doing the same dress as she do for the runway,” she added in a confessional.
“So I’m like, maybe I’m going to bring something new and the jury going to love it.”
In Nehellina and Kitty’s corner, the latter asked the former – who appeared to be in tears – if she was okay. In response, the Italian queen assured her that she was fine.
Kitty went on to tell Nehellina that she was offended by her crying over the fabric, which resulted in the latter giving further insight into why she was upset.
“It’s not because the fabric is ugly. It’s because – it’s beautiful fabric – but I never use it,” Nehellina explained.
Despite her explanation, Kitty continued to air her grievances over Nehellina’s reaction.
Halfway through their creative session, Ru returned to the workroom to check out what the girls were creating and to give some helpful tips.
The next day, the queens finished the final bits for their cocktail dresses, with Vanity using the limited time to overhaul her initial design.
“I ripped all fabric. Like, I just have pieces of fabric left. I can’t use it. I can’t sew in it,” the Swedish queen explained to Pythia.
“So now I’m just grabbing everything I can from the craft table and creating something really fast, and spray paint the shit out of it.”
In a confessional, Vanity revealed that she got in her and had “too many ideas and no execution.”
With their ensembles completed and faces beat, the ladies headed to the runway to show off their cocktail dresses.
Unsurprisingly, each of the contestants delivered unique, eccentric and stunning pieces.
After dismissing the safe queens – Alyssa, Kitty, and Nehellenia – Ru and the judges’ panel delivered critiques for the tops and bottoms of the week.
Tessa, Kween, and Pythia received rave reviews for their designs, while Gala, Vanity, and Soa failed to mesmerise the judges completely.
In the end, Ru named Tessa the Global All Star of the Week, making her the mini and maxi-challenge winner.
Ru then placed Soa and Gala in the bottom two and tasked them with lip syncing to Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj’s hit track ‘Bang Bang.’
The two talents held nothing back throughout the electric performance, throwing out dazzling choreography filled with twists, flips, splits and turns.
Ultimately, Ru named Gala the winner, resulting in Soa sashaying away from the competition.
Shortly after the episode’s release, fans took to social media to express their opinions on this week’s judging, with many viewers confused over the tops and bottoms of the week.
One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “They want mother Gala Varo gone but she’s fighting for her fucking spot.
Another fan tweeted: “This is one of the best franchises/cast in theory, but the judging and favoritism has ruined it ALL.”
On next week’s Drag Race Global All Stars, the queens will be playing the Snatch Game of Love “Global All Stars” edition.

Gala doing jumps and splits, changing her outfit, her wig, giving a lot of energy, serving every movement, just to get cut 70% of the lip sync, international queens need to give their 150% to get minimum recognition #GlobalAllStars pic.twitter.com/ETq1Riierd
