Drag Race fans have strong opinions about the latest Global All Stars episode

The latest Drag Race Global All Stars episode has shocked and confused fans.

Spoilers ahead

For this week’s maxi-challenge, the 11 remaining queens were tasked with tapping into their singing and dancing bags.

“You’ll form three girl groups battling for the top of the international charts with a new Drag Race banger, ‘Say Love,’ RuPaul explained.

When assigning team captains, Mama Ru asked the ladies to guess the population of their respective countries, resulting in Vanity Vain, Miranda Lebrão and Kween Kong securing the honour.

Team Vanity consisted of Kitty Scott-Claus, Gala Varo, and Nehellenia. Team Miranda comprised Alyssa Edwards, Eva Le Queen, and Tessa.

Lastly, Team Kween featured Soa de Muse and Pythia.

“Now, each of you needs to write your own original solo verse, in whichever language you choose, about something or someone that you love,” Ru continued.

“Next, each group will come up with a name, style a hot look, and create their own choreography. Now there are three different mixes of the song ‘Say Love,’ the Latinx mix, the Europop mix, and the K-pop mix.”

After Ru left the werkroom, the three groups got down to work on their respective numbers, starting with their names.

Team Miranda decided to go with Fresh M.E.A.T, which features the first letter of each of their names.

Team Kween also devised a clever name with D’Vybe, channelling the drag legend Divine and the word vibe.

As for Team Vanity, the girls decided to go down a cheeky sexual innuendo route with the name “Back Door Girls.”

With their names selected and a rough draft of their lyrics written, the queens rehearsed their respective choreography.

Due to Alyssa’s dance experience, Miranda assigned the American queen to create Fresh M.E.A.T.’s dance routine.

Of course, some hilarious hijinks occurred due to Tessa struggling to absorb the choreography.

“‘Tessa, why is your leg so crooked? Tessa, why are your arms so lanky? Tessa, tighten that core.’ I love this for me, but it’s also fucking hard. Damn,” Tessa said in a confessional.

For D’Vybe, Kween held nothing back when creating the choreography, which proved challenging for Pythia.

“I’m a little nervous. I hope I can keep up with Soa and Kween,” the Canadian queen said in a confessional.

Kitty took the reigns for Back Door Girls’ choreography. But like Pythia and Tessa, Vanity had an issue grappling with the dance moves.

“I’m so fucking disappointed at myself. I’m just in my head. Like, what the fuck am I doing?” Whenever I do choreo that I’ve not created, it feels like I have four left feet,” the Sweedish queen explained in confessional

The next day, the queens returned to the werkroom to prepare for the girl group performances and second elimination.

While painting their faces, Miranda opened up about her excitement for the challenge and overcoming her body pain.

“I have to battle with my body every single day, but this is the time I will pretend that it’s not hurting. I will put my biggest smile, and I’m ready. I’m motherfucking ready,” she exclaimed in a confessional.

On the other side of the room, Alyssa praised her group, especially Miranda, for their dedication to learning the choreography.

“She just dove right in. Didn’t let that hold her back. And I’m just really proud,” she added.

In another workstation, Kitty, Gala, and Nehellenia opened up about the weird energy in the group due to Vanity being stressed over the choreography.

“Vanity is so stressed and she has so much pressure on her. So maybe if the judges can see that she can be in risk to go home,” Gala said in a confessional.

Nehellenia also expressed her desire to do well so she could prove her talent to some of the other queens who have doubted her.

With their faces beat and vocal cords warmed up, Fresh M.E.A.T, D’Vybe, and Back Door Girls headed to the mainstage to perform their hearts out to respective versions of ‘Say Love.’

After delivering fierce performances and showcasing their “Color My World” ensembles, Ru named Miranda, Kitty, Pythia, Kween, Vanity, and Nehellenia as the top and bottoms of the week.

During critiques, the judges’ panel – including guest judge Ross Matthews – praised Kween, Nehellenia and Kitty for their showstopping work and runways.

Unfortunately, Miranda, Pythia, and Vanity failed to fully captivate the judges during the challenge.

While the judges deliberated, the ladies opened up about their performances and who they thought should be in the top or bottom.

Things took a tense turn when Nehellenia expressed discomfort over the other ladies counting her out as a strong contender for the top.

“They [the judges] love my runway, they loved my dance, they loved my presence on stage. So they don’t underestimate me like some of you do,” she exclaimed.

“But it’s fine. If you don’t like me, you can respect me as an artist because I don’t feel like everyone respect me very much.”

Nehellenia’s statement confused the other queens, with many of them refuting her claims.

“You can not take us for granted that we don’t like you because no one has ever said anything about that,” Vanity said in response.

The situation only worsened after Nehellenia refused to name the queens she felt discounted her, resulting in Soa and Vanity walking away in frustration.

“I don’t want to say the name, not because I’m afraid. Maybe it’s because I’m very quiet and very shy,” Nehellenia explained in a confessional.

In the end, Ru named Kitty the winner of the maxi-challenge, which resulted in Miranda and Vanity landing in the bottom two.

With their hearts on their sleeves, the two talents delivered a passionate performance to Spice Girls’ hit track ‘Spice Up Your Life.’

While both queens gagged the judges with their fierce and comedic routines, Vanity was named the winner, and Miranda was asked to sashay away.

Since the episode’s premiere, fans have flocked to social media to share their mixed reactions to the bottom two, the treatment of Nehellenia and more.

One fan on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “Kitty winning, everyone mad at Nelly and Miranda eliminated, throw this whole episode away.”

A second viewer echoed similar sentiments, writing: “They did Nelly so dirty, gaslighting her like they haven’t been downplaying her talents.”

A third viewer added: “Vanity should’ve been saved from the bottom just for this banter on the main stage alone.”

Even Drag Race alum Kandy Muse expressed her unfiltered thoughts on the episode, tweeting: “Half this cast is annoying, my favorite queen went home tonight and I cannot with the favoritism! Italy and Mexico for the win! goodnight.”

On next week’s episode of Drag Race Global All Stars, the queens will be tasked with starring in “three boobie movie shequels.”
