“I’m in love”: Fans gush over Manu Ríos’ cover of Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe!

Manu Ríos has gagged fans with his latest social media post.

Over the last few years, the 25-year-old talent has captivated pop culture enthusiasts with his stellar performances in shows like Elite and Muted.

In addition to his acting ability and dreamy good looks, Ríos has made waves for his enchanting singing voice – which he has showcased across various song covers on his YouTube channel.

On 22 October, the Strange Way of Life star reminded fans of his musical abilities when he uploaded a stirring rendition of Chappell Roan’s hit queer anthem, ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ to his Instagram.

Unlike the original track’s synthy pop production, Ríos effortlessly played the piano while singing the lovelorn lyrics.

Since sharing his heartwarming cover, the post has garnered over 200,000 likes and hundreds of comments from adoring fans.

One of his followers wrote: “Sometimes I can’t believe he’s real.”

Another fan echoed similar sentiments, writing: “You better post the full version.”

A third person commented: “Great, another unrealistic expectation for whoever I date.”

Despite his incredible singing voice and ability to play various instruments, Ríos has yet to release any music – aside from his 2016 cover of ‘Riptide’ by Vance Joy.

During a recent interview with Haper’s Bazaar, the Pepe’s Beach Bar star gave insight into why he hasn’t released new music and whether he will officially return to the art form.

“When I was 15, I started a musical project in the United States. But just when I had my EP ready, I got signed to Netflix and decided to go for acting,” he explained.

“I prefer to focus on something rather than take on too much. Although music is essential for me and, I will definitely try again.”

While it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for a Manu Ríos debut album, the young talent has plenty of acting material for fans to immerse themselves in.

Back in August, the Spanish actor’s new medical drama Breathless made its grand debut on Netflix.

In the eight-episode series, Ríos portrays Biel de Felipe, a doctor working at the fictional Joaquín Sorolla medical facility, which is described as “much more than a public hospital in Valencia where lives are saved every day.”

The official synopsis, as per Netflix, reads: “Doctors and residents work their fingers to the bone in the frenetic pace of the emergency room, where tensions, emotions and even desire accelerate the hearts of a staff that lives increasingly on the edge.

“The arrival of a distinguished patient highlights the complicated situation of the public health system, lighting the fuse for what will become an unprecedented and drastic strike.”
