“A motherquake just hit”: Drag Race fans react to epic Global All Stars LaLaPaRuza Smackdown

Drag Race Global All Stars delivered another epic Lip Sync LaLaPaRuza, and fans are absolutely gagged.

Spoilers ahead.

For this week’s maxi-challenge, the final four queens – Nehellenia, Alyssa Edwards, Kween Kong and Kitty Scott-Claus – were given a day off, and the eliminated contestants returned to the mainstage to take part in a Lip Sync LaLaPaRuza.

“My global glamazons! We are reunited, and it feels so sickening no? This week, it’s all about our returning queens, “Ru exclaimed.

“Ladykins, you will go head to head and toe to toe in a Lip Sync LaLaPaRuza Smackdown. That’s eight returning All Stars, seven lip syncs for your life and in the end, the one queen left standing will walk away with the title of Global Lip Sync Assassin plus a cash prize of $50,000.”

Before leaving the workroom, Ru informed the queens that they had 2 hours to get into LaLaPaRuza drag before hitting the main stage.

With their task at hand, the ladies started preparing for the main event by painting their faces and putting on their agile lip-sync ensembles.

They also gushed about the hefty cash prize, with Tessa Testicle exclaiming: “Not gonna lie, I’m a little plucked that I didn’t make it, but 50k is a great consolation prize if you ask me.”

Miranda Lebrão added: “50k in Brazil, it’s a lot of money for me, baby. With that money, I could do some personal stuff. But I just have the great news that me and my husband, we were approved to adopt a baby.”

Vanity Vain revealed that she would put the 50k into a wedding with her partner, adding that they were saving money.

When the conservation got to Soa, the Drag Race France star exclaimed that she would put some of the earnings toward the “young artists in Martinique and in Paris.”

Athena also expressed an interest in using the 50k for other people, specifically her brother and his transition.

With their wigs secured and their faces beat, the eliminated queens headed to the main stage to participate in their Lip Sync LaLaPaRuza – but not before Ru laid down the ground rules.

“You will face off in a series of lip-syncs. If you win, you will continue to the next round,” she explained. “If you lose, you’ll return to the workroom. In the end, the last queen standing will win a cash prize of $50,000,” she explained.

Ru then directed the queens to a giant wheel operated by the dreamy international Pit Crew member Manuel.

“My queens, on this wheel are each of your faces. Manuel will spin the wheel, and where it stops will determine which queen lip syncs first,” she continued.

After Manuel had given a firm spin to the wheel, Vanity was selected as the first queen to perform, resulting in her choosing Eva La Queen as her competitor.

Ru then tasked Eva with choosing a song from the Drag Race Playlist, which included the Ru tracks: ‘A.S.M.R Lover,’ ‘Call Me Mother,’ ‘Cha Cha Bitch,’ ‘Jealous Of My Boogie,’ ‘Just What They Want,’ and ‘U Wear It Well.’

Ultimately, the Drag Race Philippines star chose ‘Just What They Want’ as their lip sync track.

At the start of the performance, the two queens delivered passion, sass and drama.

As the song progressed, Vanity delivered not one but two hair reveals, while Eva served sensuality and slayed the cheeky lyrics of Ru’s iconic song. While they both delivered sickening performances, Eva was named the winner.

For round two, Soa went head to head with Tessa, who chose ‘A.S.M.R Lover’ as their lip-sync song.

The smackdown between the two talents proved to be an electric endeavour, filled with high-energy choreography, splits, and floor work.

Ultimately, Soa was selected as the winner of the lip sync.

After another spin from Manuel, the wheel landed on Athena, who then chose her Greek sister Pythia.

The Canada’s Drag Race star then selected ‘Jealous Of My Boogie,’ due to it being the “less dancey one” compared to the other remaining songs.

With their hearts on their sleeves and their inner disco queens shining bright, the pair delivered funky, sassy and dramatic performances from start to finish. In the end, Athena was named the winner.

For the fourth round, the “drag gods” chose Miranda and Gala as the next group to lip sync.

Due to the divine selection, Manuel had to spin the wheel to see which queen would select the song, resulting in Gala being blessed with opportunity.

To the beat of ‘Cha Cha Bitch,’ the ladies delivered sexy and sizzling performances across the Global All Stars stage.

While Miranda delivered a fun glitter reveal, Gala and her high energy performance was named the winner.

For the third to last lip sync, Gala was selected again, who then chose Eva as her opponent.

The Drag Race Philippines star went on to choose ‘Call Me Mother’ as their track since she and the Drag Race Mexico star are drag mothers.

Unsurprisingly, the ladies absolutely killed their lip sync, with Gala working the stage with her intricate flips and Eva serving eleganza down! After their dazzling performance, Gala was named the winner.

Athena and Soa then headed to the main stage for an epic rematch following their last lip sync showdown from episode three.

This time around, the two queens rocked it out to ‘U Wear It Well,’ displaying equal amounts of energy, charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.

Unfortunately, Ru could only select one queen, which ended up being Soa.

With Athena off the runway, Soa and Gala turned up the heat to ‘The Beginning.’ Of course, the lip-sync was full of jaw-dropping choreography that left the judges’ panel gagged throughout.

While Gala and Soa delivered passionate performances, Ru named Soa the first-ever Global Lip Sync Assassin and winner of $50,000.

However, before calling it a night, Ru announced that the other returning queens would go home with a $1,000 cash tip.

On next week’s episode of Drag Race Global All Stars, the final four will star in the music video for the track ‘Dance Like the World is Watching.’
