Paris Olympics: Anthony Ammirati pokes fun at his viral bulge moment on TikTok

Anthony Ammirati has joked about his NSFW moment at the Paris Olympics.

On 3 August, the French pole vaulter failed to advance to the finals after his eye-catching bulge knocked down the crossbar.

Of course, the jaw-dropping moment became a viral sensation on social media, with many users uploading various reactions, ranging from thirst tweets to hilarious memes.

While his manhood cut his time at the Olympics short, the 21-year-old athlete has remained a good sport, poking fun at the whole ordeal in a new TikTok video.

Set to the ‘sad Spongebob music’ sound, Ammirati is shown eating a meal in the Olympic Village alongside the text, “POV: you create more buzz for your package than for your performances.”

In the caption, the fit athlete added: “I don’t know if I should take it well or not.”

It didn’t take long for fans to flock to Ammirati’s comment section with encouraging messages.

One user wrote: “A win is a win.”

A second fan commented: “@Calvin Klein give this man an advertising campaign immediately.”

Another commenter wrote: “It’s a HUGE achievement.”

Lastly, Ammirati used the video’s comment section to set the record straight on the alleged rumours that NSFW website CamSoda offered him $250k to appear in a show.

“And no, I never received an offer of 250k, and if I did, I would never accept that,” he wrote.

While Ammirati has brushed off the attention with a smile, he recently admitted to the  French Athletics Federation that he was disappointed over his Olympics performance.

“I’m a bit gutted, because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70 m. What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session,” he explained.

He added: “I was 100 percent physically, but I was missing a bit of pole vault.

“The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress. As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to interact with the audience. I was almost there.”

Here’s to hoping Ammirati and his pole vaulting skills return to the 2028 Olympics.
