Gay Olympian Robbie Manson has spilt the tea on his very lucrative OnlyFans career.
In a recent interview with Reuters, the New Zealand native revealed that he makes more than double the amount of money on the subscription-based website than he does as an athlete.
“Read into that what you will, but I am making more from OnlyFans than I am from rowing at this stage,” he explained.
When asked why he started an OnlyFans profile, Manson revealed that he was inspired by former Olympian Matthew Mitch.
He also highlighted the positive impact it has had on keeping his athletic career afloat.
“I have a few friends that have supported me, but I don’t have any big personal sponsors or anything,” he said.
Fortunately, his participation hasn’t negatively impacted his relationship with the Rowing New Zealand, which is the governing body covering Manson’s training fees.
“I guess the people at Rowing New Zealand, the bosses if you like, they’re aware that this is making a huge financial impact and helping me get to where I want to go, and they understand that we’re not highly funded as well. It’s great, I haven’t had any issues,” he explained.
As for the type of content he uploads, the 34-year-old athlete described his material as “artistic nudes.”
“I don’t want to say too much more than that. I think people need to subscribe if they want to know what’s exactly there,” he coyly added.

“But in the captions, I just try to give people a little bit of an update from time to time, like what’s going on in my life or training or journey to this point, towards the Olympics.”
Manson is one of many Olympic athletes who have found success on OnlyFans.
Over the last few years, pros such as Jack Laugher, Daniel Goodfellow, Matty Lee, and Noah Williams have all opened up profiles.
While their respective OnlyFans journeys have been embraced by a majority of their fans, they have also faced negative stigma.
In a recent essay for The Telegraph, Mitcham defended athletes who use the platform by highlighting their unexpectedly low income.
“After all the hours and sacrifice we’ve put in, we athletes have more than earned the odd side-hustle,” he wrote.
“The harsh truth of sport is that a small percentage of athletes make it big. Those people might be rewarded with lots of juicy sponsorships, but we’re talking about only the most beautiful and charismatic of Olympic champions. A lot of brilliant performers get left behind.”
