“I am not okay”: Red, White & Royal Blue fans react to unseen images

Prime Video has released a plethora of unseen images from Red, White & Royal Blue, which has left fans “screaming” and demanding more.

The streamer dropped more official stills and behind-the-scenes shots in celebration of the acclaimed rom-com’s first anniversary on 11 August.

From Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) and Alex Claremont-Diaz’s iconic museum dance to their cake-tastrophe and (deleted) cornetto treat in Kensington Palace, there’s plenty here for FirstPrince shippers.

Additional photos include supporting characters such as President Ellen Claremont (Uma Thurman), Senator Oscar Diaz (Clifton Collins Jr.), Zahra Bankston (Sarah Shahi) and Nora Holleron (Rachel Hilson).

More red, white and royal power incoming: King James III (Stephen Fry), Princess Beatrice (Ellie Bamber), Prince Phillip (Thomas Flynn), Percy Okonjo (Malcolm Atobrah) and Shaan Shrivistava (Akshay Khanna).

Matthew Lopez, director, can also be seen in various shots.

Understandably, the internet freaked the hell out – including us. In a comment we very much relate to, one fan wrote: “WHAT DO YALL MEAN YOU’VE JUST BEEN GATEKEEPING THESE THE WHOLE TIME?”

“Screaming crying and throwing up,” said another, while a third tweeted: “You’ve given me such a gift. I humbly offer you back my undying love.”

Based on Casey McQuiston’s acclaimed novel of the same name, Red, White & Royal Blue follows the romance between Alex (Perez), the son of America’s first female president, and Henry (Galitzine), a British prince.

The film was met with critical acclaim and broke streaming records for Prime Video, earning a nomination at the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards for ‘Outstanding Television Movie’.

At a special screening in May, Lopez announced that Zakhar Perez and Galitzine will reprise their beloved characters for “another slice” of queerified UK-US relations.

Currently, details for the sequel are scarce, except for the return of the co-leads and Lopez, as well as McQuiston as co-writer.
