Miley Cyrus sent a heartwarming message to Beyoncé following the release of their critically acclaimed Cowboy Carter duet.
On 19 March, the Lemonade singer took to her social media channels to announce the second act in her three-act project – which began with the iconic Renaissance album.
“This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t,” Beyoncé explained in a lengthy Instagram.
“But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.”
Toward the end of her statement, Bey revealed that Cowboy Carter would be full of surprises and feature a handful of collaborations with “brilliant artists.”
After 10 long days, the Grammy winner’s highly anticipated eighth studio album finally made its way to streaming services.
Staying true to her word, Cowboy Carter featured gagworthy collabs with talented singer-songwriters – including Linda Martell, Reyna Roberts, Tanner Adell, Willie Jones, Dolly Parton, Post Malone and Shaboozey.
However, one feature from the album that has gone viral on social media is ‘II Most Wanted,’ Beyoncé’s duet with Miley Cyrus.
Since its release, music listeners have lauded the power ballad, which interpolates Fleetwood Mac’s hit song ‘Landslide,’ for its stunning vocals and heartwrenching lyrics.
“II MOST WANTED must be studied!! The way Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé’s voices collided and seamlessly intertwined,” one X, formerly known as Twitter, user wrote.
Another fan echoed similar sentiments: “Beyoncé & Miley ATE on II MOST WANTED. Miley Cyrus put that Hannah Montana wig on in the studio. Imagine them singing it LIVE? Yeah, I’m gagging.”
However, fans weren’t the only ones gagging over the song and collab.
Following the release of Cowboy Carter, Cyrus sent a heartfelt message to Beyoncé, describing her singing partner as “everything and more.”
“I’ve loved Beyoncé since long before I had the opportunity to meet & work with her. My admiration runs so much deeper now that I’ve created along side of her. Thank you, Beyoncé,” she wrote.

“You’re everything & more. Love you. To everyone who spent time making this song so special, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Alongside her sweet message, Cyrus uploaded a handful of old clips to her Instagram story, which featured her praising Beyoncé over the years, per ABC News.
Unsurprisingly, Cowboy Carter has become a massive hit with music critics and fans, earning praise for Beyoncé’s stunning vocals, immersive lyrics and genre-blending production.
The 27-track album has also bagged some incredible achievements, like becoming Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 so far.
“This is also the first time a country album holds the title this year,” Spotify revealed on Instagram, less than 24 hours after Cowboy Carter’s release.
We can’t wait to see what else Beyoncé has in store for this new era.
