Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Gen V star Chance Perdomo dies at 27

Gen V and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Chance Perdomo has tragically passed away at the age of 27.

The young talent’s publicist confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement, revealing that he died in a motorcycle accident.

“Authorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion of the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother,” they added, per Variety.

Shortly after the tragic news was announced, fans took to social media to express their sadness over the After Ever Happy star’s passing.

One fan on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “My condolences to Chance Perdomo’s family and friends. He will always be remembered and immortal in our hearts. His legacy is immortal.”

Another user added: “This is so so sad. I loved him in Sabrina. Rest in peace, Chance Perdomo.”

A third fan tweeted: “I am devastated by this tragic news. Way too young to be leaving so soon, I send my deepest condolences to Chance’s family and friends. RIP Chance Perdomo.”

The producers of Gen V also paid tribute to Perdomo, describing him as an “enthusiastic force of nature.”

“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person,” they said.

“Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”

Lastly, Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television echoed similar sentiments, writing: “The entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”

The British actor first made waves in 2018 with his critically acclaimed performance in the BBC drama Killed By My Debt.

Later that year, he captivated audiences as the lovable pansexual warlock Ambrose Spellman in Netflix’s spellbinding original series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – a darker take on Melissa Joan Hart’s version of the iconic teenage witch.

Following the show’s first season premiere, Perdomo gushed about playing the iconic role during an interview with GAY TIMES.

“It provides freedom artistically and creatively to be able to play someone who is a representative of the world we live in… “It was freeing to play a more authentic narrative that “We’veven’t already seen,” he said at the time.

Following the 2020 series finale of Chilling Adventures, Perdomo appeared in the After film franchise and Prime Video’s critically acclaimed The Boys spinoff Gen V, where he played the aspiring superhero, Andre Anderson.

Rest in peace, Chance Perdomo.
