Pop star Lauv has seemingly come out as part of the LGBTQ+ community in a heartfelt social media post.
In a video posted on his TikTok account, the I’m So Tired singer can be seen in a car underneath white text that states, “When ur dating a girl but ur also a lil bit into men.”
Lauv gave further details about his journey in the caption, in which he wrote: “Does it have to be that big of a deal? i havent done much aside from kiss so tbh don’t wannna jump the gun but tbh i feel things and i dont wanna pretend i dont. :)”
The beloved talent’s brief video came minutes after he uploaded a post expressing his fear of “saying anything on the internet” because he was “‘known’ or something.”
“Can we just free the vibe or nah… i wanna be who i am,” he added in the caption.
In response to Lauv’s video, fans flocked to the comment section to shower the singer with praise and supportive messages.
One person wrote: “We love a bi king! Also totally valid but definitely understandable. Sexuality can be a complex thing to discover. We ❤️you anyway!”

Another fan commented: “You don’t have to label yourself with anything and you can take all the time you need to figure out who YOU are and it’s on your own terms.”
Over the years, the I Like Me Better singer has been a proud supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and has opened up about his allyship across numerous interviews.
In his 2020 cover story for GAY TIMES, Lauv said that being an LGBTQ ally was “incredibly important to him”.
“How does anybody else’s sexual preference affect you at all?” he says rhetorically,” the 28-year-old said.
“People should be able to love whoever they want to love and identify however they want to identify. I wonder what kind of place it comes from when people have such hatred for that. I just don’t get it.”
Two years prior, Lauv teamed up with the Human Rights Campaign for their Equality Rocks Campaign – which “sparks conversation about love, fairness and equality around the globe.”
“For me to be in a place where I can use my voice positively, to encourage other people to be themselves and to support LGBTQ equality, I feel like I’m in a position where I can speak out,” he said in a statement at the time.
We’re sending Lauv all the love and support on his journey of self-discovery.
